Sri Gethuk Waterfall |

Sri Gethuk Waterfall located
in Dukuh Menggoran, Desa Bleberan,
Kecamatan Playen, Kabupaten Gunungkidul,
Yogyakarta province. Not far from the waterfall you also
can visit Rancang Kencono Cave.
According
to belief local in the past,
often heard the sound of gamelan, which is believed to belong to Anga Mendura,
Jinn king of Slempret. Supposedly, the existence of this waterfall
is the location of the jinn market.
In certain nights, people often hear the trumpet
sound from direction of the waterfall. But if
the sound is approached, the
sound will disappear. Hence, people also call it Slempret
Waterfall.
Sri Gethuk Waterfall is
unique because it forked in two cliffs emerging from the gap between
the arid karst cliffs.
This waterfall has a height of about
80 meters. Water is
flowing continuously into Oya River. There are
three springs that burst around Sri Gethuk
waterfall, which springs
of Dung Poh, Ngandong and Ngumbul.
In
dry season, Sri Gethuk Waterfall still has endless freshness is. Waterfall of Sri
Gethuk still emits water filled with
